There aren't any hardware settings for the ports on Xfinity. The XB7 is far better! Much quieter fan and doesn’t seem to suffer from the heat issue the XB6 had. A Comcast rep says my XB7 is an ARRIS TG4482A, and the Software page on the gateway web server (10.0.0.1) seems to confirm this.
